Just came across the following excellent new initiative at:

http://www.ippr.org/schoolets/

From their main page: "SchooLets is initiating community currencies in schools across England.

Schools are using these currencies as tools to encourage parental engagement, develop themselves as community hubs, and deliver citizenship education in a creative, exciting way."

Anyone know of any similar initiatives in other countries?
